Rosace Publications

Rosace Publications is an independent press originally founded in San Francisco in 1965 by the late poet and musician David Omer Bearden. The press began by publishing chapbooks by voices central to the post-beat and countercultural movements. In 2018, Rosace was revived by David’s step-daughter, Astra Beck, to preserve his legacy and bring his unpublished works to light. Rosace continues to evolve as a home for thoughtful, original works across poetry, memoir, cultural commentary, and creative nonfiction—celebrating writing that challenges, reveals, and endures.
